On June 18, 2026, the same day as the cover-art reveal, Rockstar quietly added a new clip of Vice City to the official GTA 6 website. It runs roughly 8 seconds and is tied to the page's scroll position rather than presented as a standalone video, which is why many visitors missed it entirely.

Longtime GTA dataminer TexFunz2 extracted the full high-resolution version from the site's code, letting the community view it at far higher fidelity than the scroll effect allowed. The clip runs in 4K at 30fps and shows an aerial twilight flyover across a dense, lived-in skyline: a dockyard anchoring the waterfront, skyscrapers filling the city core, boats on the water, a lit Ferris wheel standing out against the dusk, and planes in the sky above.

One observation spread quickly after the extraction. The lit Ferris wheel casts no reflection in the water despite sitting relatively close to it, and community analysts read that as a ray-traced reflection system with a visible distance limit. It is worth being precise: this is a community observation, not a Rockstar statement, and reflection distance limits are an extremely common optimization in real-time rendering. Reading it as anything beyond a normal performance trade-off is speculation, and it sits alongside the broader ray tracing and graphics analysis picture from Trailer 2's technical breakdown.

The stealth drop is on-brand. Rockstar has a long history of feeding the community small, decodable breadcrumbs between marketing beats, and a flyover buried in a scroll effect gives dataminers something to extract while keeping GTA 6 in the conversation without an announcement.
