GTA 6 pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, at $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. The week around them was a carefully staged rollout: Rockstar revealed the cover art and announced the pre-order date on June 18, published its detailed product listings and a wave of official screenshots on June 24, then opened orders at midnight on the 25th.
That June 24 detail drop matters well beyond commerce. It is the source for much of what is confirmed about the game at all, from the activity roster to the Ultimate Edition's shops, missions and vehicles.
Where you can actually pre-order is less uniform than the headlines suggest. Rockstar's support pages list eligible countries per storefront without printing totals, so 6Charts counted them: 62 countries on the PlayStation Store, 39 on the Xbox Store and 30 on the Rockstar Store. The Xbox list is a strict subset of the PlayStation list, leaving 23 countries, heavily Central and South American plus a block of smaller European and Southeast Asian markets, where only the PlayStation route exists. Rockstar's own caveat says availability can widen "as allowed by platform policies, regional regulations, and age ratings."
Every pre-order before November 20 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack and a month of GTA+. Physical pre-orders become boxes on shelves November 12, and codes carry region rules worth checking before importing. There is no scarcity pressure on a digital product, so the honest case for pre-ordering is locking the bonus and pre-loading, nothing more; our pre-order guide walks the decision. The demand itself became a story too, covered at pre-order demand.
