Scuba diving is a confirmed GTA 6 side activity, and it changes what deep water means in this series. The underwater layer is explorable in its own right, with reefs, shipwrecks and submerged areas giving dives actual destinations rather than empty ocean. The Leonida Keys are built around underwater exploration, sitting, in Rockstar's own words, on the doorstep of some of the most beautiful and dangerous waters in America.

Marine wildlife rounds out the picture: sharks, dolphins, alligators and flamingos have all appeared in official material, part of the broader wildlife simulation the trailers showed off.

A caution on the popular extras. Oxygen-management diving mechanics, a patented fluid-simulation system and shark attacks as an active gameplay hazard all circulate widely, and none of them is confirmed. They belong to the same rumor cluster as surfing: plausible, endlessly repeated, unproven. Plan around the confirmed layer, reefs, wrecks and an explorable seabed, and treat the rest as potential upside. The full confirmed roster is at side activities.
