Leonida's economy is one of the best-documented corners of Grand Theft Auto VI before launch, because Rockstar has confirmed it from two directions at once. The official character bios published in May 2025 sketched the people who run the money, and the June 2026 pre-order material named actual storefronts on the map. Between them, the state already has a working commercial layer months before anyone plays it.

Confirmed storefronts

Rockstar's official screenshots, released the day before pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, confirm functional shop types rather than set dressing: vehicle mod shops with customizable interiors, rims and paint, a clothing store, a hair salon and a tattoo parlor. Five named businesses carry the same line on Rockstar's site, "Only open for business with the Ultimate Edition": Rideout Customs in Vice City, One-Eyed Willie's at Lake Leonida, Sara's Unisex Salon, and Stock 305 and Electric Fang Tattoo in Stockyard. A sixth Ultimate-linked location, the PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store, is presented differently: the site labels it a gang compound, not a shop.

The bio-derived economy

The character bios add the businesses those storefronts orbit. Boobie Ike's bio describes a "legitimate empire spanning real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio." The music scene runs through Only Raw Records, Brian Heder is "still moving product through his boat yard," and Raul Bautista fronts a heist crew. Community analysis adds industrial landmarks such as the Allied Crystal sugar refinery in Ambrosia.

How crime pays

Rockstar's June 24, 2026 product listing also spelled out a full criminal economy loop: raid repeatable gang compounds for contraband, stash it in personal garages that double as weapon lockers, then sell it to the Fence "at a reasonably discounted rate."

What is not confirmed

Player ownership of any of these businesses remains unconfirmed. Theories about buying fronts or laundering money through them are community speculation, not Rockstar statements. For the full source-by-source breakdown, see our Leonida economy guide, or head back to the GTA 6 wiki hub.
