GTA 6 ships on Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026, the same day as PlayStation. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, via a Jason Schreier Bloomberg interview, confirmed Sony's arrangement is a marketing partnership only: no timed exclusivity, no delayed Xbox launch.

"We've had record orders"

When affiliate-link data was misread as showing weak Xbox pre-orders, a Microsoft spokesperson told Windows Central: "This doesn't represent pre-order data. We've had record orders. People should wait for real data and not clicks on affiliate links." No absolute figures were published, but the record-orders claim is Microsoft's own on-the-record statement.

Store listing details

The Xbox store listing states 13 supported languages, the figure that actually speaks to language support (localised box-art assets exist for only six locales, which is a marketing-asset observation, not a localisation limit). Standard Edition is $79.99 and Ultimate Edition $99.99 on both storefronts, and neither store lists an install size.

The Series S question

The claim that the Series S is locked to 30fps comes from the single-source Rock and Borys podcast leak of June 29, 2026, aggregated widely but never corroborated. Rockstar has announced no frame-rate targets for any console; see performance modes.

Price of entry

Microsoft's worldwide price increase took effect August 1, 2026 ($100 on 512GB models, $150 on 1TB models). Current US prices: Series S 512GB $499.99, Series S 1TB $599.99, Series X Digital $749.99, Series X disc $799.99. That makes the Series S plus Standard Edition, at $579.98, the cheapest legitimate route into GTA 6, $100 under the cheapest PlayStation path, while the Series X disc route now tops the equivalent PS5 price.
