A cluster of San Andreas-style RPG systems is widely expected in GTA 6, and every one of them is leaked, inferred or theorised rather than confirmed. The footage behind the theories is real; the systems built on top of it are not official.
What Trailer 2 visibly shows
Jason works out at an open-air gym, and his physique appears more or less muscular across different frames. Lucia appears in an underground bare-knuckle fighting circuit. Those frames exist in official footage — they are the confirmed layer, and the reason comparisons to San Andreas' weight and muscle systems took hold, as covered by PC Gamer and ScreenRant.
The inferred systems, labelled
- Weight gain and loss via gym time — inferred from the varying physique, and also described in leak-era reporting as a system that visibly changes the characters over time.
- Fighting styles — evoked by the bare-knuckle circuit; selectable styles are speculation.
- Reputation — Insider Gaming's trailer breakdown lists a system in which pedestrians recognise Jason by his appearance; it is implied rather than shown, the weakest-footed claim of the set.
- Dynamic hair and beard growth — Jason's hair and beard visibly change length across trailer scenes, widely read as RDR2's growth system returning. Well-supported speculation given Rockstar's track record, but still unconfirmed.
- Dynamic appearance — Jason's sunburn also appears to change between shots, feeding a broader theory that the protagonist's look shifts organically over time rather than staying fixed.
The pattern across all five is the same: real footage, inferred mechanics. Rockstar has confirmed none of them as systems, and the weight claim's leak-era pedigree ties it to the same unverified corpus as other 2022 leak material.
