Jason Schreier is a Bloomberg journalist whose reporting has repeatedly shaped, and occasionally been distorted by, the conversation around Grand Theft Auto VI's schedule.

January 2026: "not yet content complete"

In January 2026 Schreier said on a podcast that the game was "not yet content complete", a comment that spread widely as evidence of a coming delay. His actual position was that he "would not be surprised if the game does come out on schedule", and he corrected the misreading publicly, pointing out that people could simply have asked him. People close to the project had described remaining finishing and bug-fixing work, while Schreier also said the November window felt more solid than earlier targets, drawing a comparison with how Red Dead Redemption 2 shifted before it landed (see delay history).
