The Cfx Marketplace, launched January 12, 2026, is the official storefront for paid and free FiveM and RedM creations, the first Rockstar-sanctioned channel for a modding economy that previously lived on third-party platforms.
A curated storefront, not an open market
Cfx.re's announcement described a curated digital storefront where creators sell props, scripts, maps and more. It launched with 16 initial creator partners, with 7 more reported as joining soon, and access is phased and application-based. Demand has outrun the process: Cfx.re's July 27, 2026 community post said that "due to high interest in Marketplace, we are currently reviewing a large volume of applications."
Pricing, as reported
Cfx.re publishes no official price survey, so the figures in circulation are secondary reporting: listings from roughly $5 for utility scripts up to $389.99 for premium bundles, while Kotaku reported bundles reaching $467.99 and some items carrying a recurring $23.99 per month fee. Kotaku also noted the Rockstar revenue split was seemingly absent from the official posts. Treat all of it as reported rather than official.
License terms and the unresolved clause
The Creator Platform License Agreement, updated alongside the launch, restricts reselling marketplace content outside servers, reverse-engineering assets, and using assets to train generative AI. More contentious is a "Prohibited Methods" clause targeting revenue from "Virtual Items," defined broadly across in-game currency, goods, boosts, vehicles and skins. Server owners read that language as potentially sweeping up the cosmetic packs and donation perks that fund hosting and staff, and as of mid-2026 no public clarification had resolved the ambiguity, with grandfathering of existing arrangements also unconfirmed.
What it displaces, and what it does not touch
The Marketplace pulls mod sales off platforms like Tebex and Patreon into a sanctioned channel, a structural shift for creators and the server owners who buy from them. What it does not touch, so far, is GTA 6: the storefront covers GTA V and RDR2 content, and any GTA 6 connection is inference, as covered on the dedicated servers page.
