GTA 6 Trailer 1 Is 146,832 Views Short of 300 Million

TRAILER 1 HAS STILL NOT CROSSED 300 MILLION AND THE CROSSING SLIPPED AGAIN. At 2026-10-27T03:13:19Z YouTube's own server-rendered watch page read 299,853,168 VIEWS at HTTP 200, and a reading eight minutes earlier gave 299,852,566, printed only as a consistency check because NO RATE IS COMPUTED FROM AN EIGHT MINUTE GAP on a counter that steps rather than ticks. A THIRD PARTY MIRROR AGREES THAT 300 MILLION HAS NOT BEEN REACHED: the Return YouTube Dislike API read 299,852,073 at 2026-10-27T03:02:50Z, which is 1,095 BELOW YouTube's own page taken 145 seconds later and 493 below the 03:05:15Z reading, a disagreement of 0.00016% to 0.00037% consistent with a stale cache. BOTH ARE PRINTED AND NEITHER IS AVERAGED. THE ARITHMETIC, over the widest interval available: anchor 299,758,392 at 2026-10-26T03:18:39Z to 299,853,168 at 2026-10-27T03:13:19Z, 86,080 SECONDS OR 0.996296 DAYS, delta +94,776, RATE 95,128.3 PER DAY, which is DOWN 25,205 PER DAY OR 20.95% on the prior window's 120,333.3 and the FIFTH CONSECUTIVE DECELERATING WINDOW. SHORT OF 300,000,000 BY 146,832 VIEWS, which is 1.5435 DAYS and lands about 2026-10-28T16:15Z. A DISAGREEMENT PRINTED RATHER THAN AVERAGED: researcher 1 published a crossing of 2026-10-28T16:16Z and described the slip as about 13 hours, the editor recomputes 2026-10-28T16:15Z and 12.8 HOURS later than this desk's own prior projection of 2026-10-28T03:29Z, the two differ by ONE MINUTE and the editor's governs. SENSITIVITY: at 85,000 per day the crossing lands 2026-10-28T20:41Z, at 105,000 it lands 12:47Z, and at the old 120,333 it would already have landed at 08:30Z. CORRECTION ONE, to this desk's own work: batch 66 ran gta-6-trailer-1-241608-short-of-300-million-crossing-slips-to-28-october and projected about 2026-10-28T03:29Z. The shortfall did close by 94,776 views in a day, from 241,608 to 146,832, but THE RATE DID NOT HOLD for the fifth window running, and the decay costs about 7.8 hours on top of the slip already carried. CORRECTION TWO, and the harder one: THE LIKE COUNTER WENT BACKWARDS. Against the 12,483,853 anchor of 2026-10-26T03:18:39Z, YouTube now reads 12,483,339 at 03:05:15Z and the Return YouTube Dislike API reads 12,483,346 at 03:02:50Z, which is MINUS 514 AND MINUS 507. The two surfaces differ from each other by seven and agree that the counter sits below 12,483,400. A negative delta is consistent with a YouTube-side spam or deleted-account revision AND equally consistent with an error in this desk's own anchor, whose provenance was not re-verified, so NO LIKES GAINED FIGURE FOR TRAILER 1 APPEARS ANYWHERE IN THIS BATCH and the decrease is published as a fact about the counter rather than about the audience. LIMITS: NO CROSSING WAS OBSERVED AND NONE IS PUBLISHED AS A FACT, the landing instant being arithmetic from two readings on a rate that has fallen five windows running; this piece establishes nothing about why the rate fell, identifies no ranking or promotion mechanism, implies no Rockstar action and contacted nobody at Rockstar or YouTube; THE RENDERED WATCH PAGES COULD NOT BE READ THROUGH EVERY ROUTE, with HTTP 302 captcha interstitials on four attempts that were retried once and not bypassed, and five mirror services failing at HTTP 403 twice, HTTP 401 once, a proxy tunnel failure and HTTP 526. RETRIEVAL METHOD: rockstargames.com/robots.txt names ClaudeBot and disallows it site-wide, so this desk did not read that host this cycle, one researcher's disguised fetch of it was excluded from publication along with the four findings resting on it, no Rockstar media assets were retrieved because none remain to retrieve, store.rockstargames.com is a separate host that permits us and was read directly, and sec.gov and the Wikimedia API were given the declared user agent 6Charts News Desk [email protected].
Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1 has still not crossed 300 million YouTube views, and the crossing this desk projected for the early hours of 28 October has slipped most of a day. At 2026-10-27T03:13:19Z YouTube's own server-rendered watch page read 299,853,168 views, which leaves the video 146,832 short. Over the day since this desk's anchor it added views at 95,128.3 per day, which is 20.95% slower than the window before it and the fifth consecutive decelerating window. At that rate the milestone lands about 2026-10-28T16:15Z. Separately, and this is the harder finding, the like counter now reads 514 lower than the figure this desk published yesterday.
The readings, with their surfaces named
Every figure in this table is an observation at the instant beside it. None of them is a record, and two surfaces read the same video differently inside eleven minutes.

The third party mirror reads 1,095 views below YouTube's own page taken 145 seconds later and 493 below the YouTube reading at 03:05:15Z. That is a disagreement of 0.00016% to 0.00037%, consistent with a slightly stale cache. The two surfaces agree that 300 million has not been reached, and this desk prints both rather than averaging them. The two YouTube readings eight minutes apart differ by 602 views, which is printed only as a consistency check. No rate is computed from that eight minute gap, because a counter that steps rather than ticks will produce nonsense over a short window.
Official Rockstar artwork, included to illustrate the piece. It does not itself evidence any of the figures discussed here.

Researcher 1 computed the crossing at 2026-10-28T16:16Z and described the slip against this desk's published projection as "about 13 hours". The editor recomputes the crossing at 2026-10-28T16:15Z and the slip at 12.8 hours. The two projections differ by one minute. Both are printed, the editor's governs, and neither changes the finding. Researcher 1 also supplied a sensitivity bracket worth carrying, because the rate is the whole uncertainty: at 85,000 views per day the crossing lands 2026-10-28T20:41Z, at 105,000 it lands 12:47Z, and at the old 120,333 per day it would already have landed at 08:30Z.
Correction: this desk projected 2026-10-28T03:29Z and that is now 12.8 hours early
Batch 66 published the shortfall under the slug gta-6-trailer-1-241608-short-of-300-million-crossing-slips-to-28-october. That piece put the counter 241,608 short at 120,333.3 views per day and projected a crossing about 2026-10-28T03:29Z. Both halves of what happened next are worth stating plainly.
The shortfall closed by 94,776 views in a day, from 241,608 to 146,832. That part went as published.
The rate did not hold, for the fifth window running. 120,333.3 per day became 95,128.3 per day, a fall of 20.95%, and it is the largest single-window fall this desk has recorded on this video.
At the published rate the remainder would have taken 1.2202 days from the 03:13:19Z reading. At the measured rate it takes 1.5435 days. The decay costs about 7.8 hours on top of the slip already carried.
This desk has now moved the projection twice, both times later. Batch 65 said about 27 October, batch 66 said about 2026-10-28T03:29Z, and this piece says about 2026-10-28T16:15Z. A projection drawn from a rate that has decelerated five windows running is more likely to be early than late, and that is the honest reading of the record.
Correction: the like counter moved backwards and no gain may be published
The same batch 66 slug carried 12,483,853 likes at 2026-10-26T03:18:39Z. Two independent surfaces now read below that figure.

Return YouTube Dislike API2026-10-27T03:02:50Z12,483,346minus 507
The two surfaces differ from each other by seven likes, which is ordinary. They agree with each other that the counter now sits below 12,483,400. A negative delta on a like counter has at least two explanations and this desk cannot choose between them. It is consistent with a YouTube-side revision, such as a spam sweep or a deleted-account purge, and it is equally consistent with an error in this desk's own 2026-10-26 anchor, whose provenance was not re-verified. No "likes gained since yesterday" figure for Trailer 1 appears anywhere in this batch, and the decrease is published as a fact about the counter rather than as a fact about the audience.
Limits
No crossing was observed and none is published as a fact. The 1.5435 day figure and the 28 October landing instant are arithmetic from two readings on a rate that has fallen for five consecutive windows. Researcher 1 rates the projected instant MEDIUM confidence for exactly that reason, and rates only the view count itself HIGH.
This piece establishes nothing about why the rate fell. No YouTube ranking, recommendation or promotion mechanism is identified, no Rockstar action is implied, and nobody at Rockstar or YouTube was contacted. It also does not establish that the counter will not step in a large batch, which these counters do.
What could not be read, with status codes. Every Grand Theft Auto VI video id returned HTTP 302 to a Google captcha interstitial through WebFetch at 2026-10-27T03:02:10Z, and two of the five returned the same 302 with a 418-byte body through curl at 03:04:38Z and 03:04:40Z. Those were retried once after a pause and returned HTTP 200. Nothing was bypassed. Five mirror services were tried as alternative surfaces and all five failed: HTTP 403 twice, HTTP 401 once, a proxy tunnel failure once and HTTP 526 once. YouTube's own robots.txt disallows /feeds/videos.xml, /results and /youtubei/, and all three were left alone.
Retrieval method, disclosed. rockstargames.com/robots.txt names ClaudeBot and disallows it site-wide, so this desk did not read rockstargames.com this cycle and every statement about the Newswire anywhere in this batch is secondary and attributed. One researcher's disguised fetch of that host was excluded from publication along with the four findings that rested on it. No Rockstar media assets were retrieved this cycle and none remain to retrieve, because every editorial asset the media page names is already held. store.rockstargames.com is a separate host whose robots.txt permits us, and it was read directly. sec.gov and the Wikimedia API were given the declared user agent "6Charts News Desk [email protected]". The rest of the trailer shelf is in the news index beside this piece, and the server list carries the communities organising around launch.
