Every Grand Theft Auto VI video on Rockstar's YouTube channel slowed down in the twenty four hours to 2026-10-27T03:05Z, and not one of them sped up. The Launch Trailer is the fastest thing on the shelf at 1,323,692.6 views per day, which is 11.9% below the rate this desk published yesterday. The four other tracked videos fell between 3.2% and 20.95%. Over the same window Rockstar posted no new video, scheduled no premiere, and the English Wikipedia pageviews series did not advance at all.
Five videos, five decelerations
All view and like figures are from YouTube's own server-rendered watch pages at HTTP 200, each with its own read instant. The anchors are this desk's 2026-10-26 figures. Every rate and every percentage change is arithmetic from two readings.

Video identity was confirmed first party through YouTube's oEmbed endpoint at HTTP 200, read 2026-10-27T03:03:42Z and 03:13:17Z. That read also settles a question this desk has carried for weeks: rz1B4B2yBZY returns an oEmbed aspect of 200x113, which is 16:9, while icy-lhqJhMQ returns 200x150, which is 4:3. They are the same Launch Trailer uploaded twice in different formats on the same Rockstar Games channel.
The trend claim this desk published, and how it ended
Batch 66 ran correction-gta-6-launch-trailer-re-accelerated-1503147-views-a-day-streak-broke. It published a range of 1,501,686 to 1,503,147 views per day for the Launch Trailer, called the deceleration streak broken, and attached a caveat in capital letters that the comparison ran a 23.5 hour window against a 71.9 hour window, that 2.479% is thin on a stepping counter, and that one window is not a trend.
The caveat landed. The next window reads 1,323,692.6 per day, which is 11.9% below the lower end of that published range and 11.94% below the upper end. The defensible sentence now is the narrow one: the three days to 26 October read higher than the three days to 23 October, and the single day to 27 October reads lower than either. This desk does not describe one window as a reversal again without that history printed beside it.
Official Rockstar artwork, included to illustrate the piece. It does not itself evidence any of the figures discussed here.
A 227,475 view disagreement between two surfaces, printed and not averaged
The Return YouTube Dislike API was read at 2026-10-27T03:02:50Z, HTTP 200, as a cross-check on three of the five videos. On the Launch Trailer the two surfaces are a long way apart.

At the observed 1,323,692.6 views per day, a 227,475 view gap is about 4.1 hours of staleness in the mirror's cache. The pattern is exactly what you expect: the gap scales with how fast the video is moving, so it is large on a trailer adding 1.3 million a day and negligible on one adding 95,000. The mirror's figures are never presented in this file as YouTube's own.
Rockstar's channel: nothing new, nothing scheduled
The channel's Videos tab was read at 2026-10-27T03:03:42Z, HTTP 200, 1,300,086 bytes, channel externalId UC6VcWc1rAoWdBCM0JxrRQ3A. Thirty entries were parsed from the page's own ytInitialData. The newest is the Launch Trailer, which the listing itself stamps 11 days old, followed by An Extended Look at one month, its announcement video at two months, a GTA Online heist video at three months and the cover art reveal at four months.
The same payload was swept for every marker YouTube uses to flag a scheduled item. upcomingEventData, scheduledStartTime, UPCOMING, Premieres and isLiveNow each occur zero times. The only LIVE strings present are interface label templates rather than entries. Twenty three days before launch there is no scheduled premiere and no upcoming stream on the Videos tab.
Attention did not move either, because the data did not arrive
The English Wikipedia daily pageviews series for the Grand Theft Auto VI article was read at 2026-10-27T03:06:40Z, HTTP 200, 2,619 bytes, after two HTTP 429 rejections at 03:06:17Z and 03:06:25Z. 26 October is still unpublished. The last published day remains 25 October at 18,875 views, so there is no new attention datapoint this cycle and no "rebound continues" framing is available.
One new capability did arrive. The user-only series, which excludes recognised automated traffic, was read at 03:07:09Z and gives 16,864 for 25 October against the all-agents 18,875. Automated traffic is therefore 10.65% of the all-agents figure on that day, which quantifies a caveat this desk has been printing without a number. Grand Theft Auto V drew 9,562 on the same day, so the unreleased game runs at 1.974 times the released one. The 25 October figure sits 35.49% below the 15 October trailer-day peak of 29,260 and 7.17% above the 24 October floor of 17,613. Batch 66's "39.81% below peak" was the floor measured against the peak, and both figures are correct for their own day.
A Twitch category page that resolves, with the caveat that must run with it
A Twitch directory page for Grand Theft Auto VI returned HTTP 200 at 222,634 bytes at 2026-10-27T03:11:22Z, with a title of "Grand Theft Auto VI - Twitch" and an og:description carrying Rockstar's own marketing copy about Leonida and Vice City. A negative control on a nonsense slug returned the generic "Twitch" title and the generic site description at 221,468 bytes, which proves the page is not generated from the URL. The Grand Theft Auto V control returned its own title and description at 224,444 bytes.
One structural difference is worth recording. The Grand Theft Auto VI page's og:image is a hand-placed front-end static asset, verified live by HEAD at 03:11:55Z, HTTP 200, content-type image/jpeg, content-length 721,247 bytes. Grand Theft Auto V instead uses the ordinary games-database box art path, and Grand Theft Auto VI has no games-database box art image on the page at all.
The caveat is mandatory and it runs here. Batch 66 published that no such category existed, on four spellings returning nulls at 128 bytes from a different surface. The creation date of this page could not be established, and the two cycles used different surfaces, so this may be a surface disagreement rather than a change. This desk does not report that Twitch added a Grand Theft Auto VI category today, and prior reporting suggests a temporary category may have existed around the 27 August gameplay reveal.
Limits
The deceleration has no established cause and no established floor. Nothing here says the Launch Trailer will keep a seven-figure daily rate, and nothing identifies why all five videos fell together. Researcher 1 rates the YouTube-read figures HIGH and the derived rates only MEDIUM, because this desk's anchor instants for Trailer 2, An Extended Look and the second upload were carried forward as approximately 03:18:39Z rather than exactly, and an error of one minute in an anchor moves a one-day rate by about 0.07%.
The channel scan is the Videos tab only. It does not cover the Live tab, the Shorts tab, or unlisted, members-only or not-yet-public scheduled content. icy-lhqJhMQ is a Rockstar Games upload that does not appear in the Videos listing at all, which is direct proof that the tab is not an exhaustive view of the channel.
What could not be read, with status codes. Twitch's Helix API returned HTTP 401 at 72 bytes on five category probes at 03:10:24Z, so there are no viewer or broadcaster counts anywhere in this piece and last cycle's 61,070 viewer and 2,359 broadcaster figures for Grand Theft Auto V could not be refreshed. A Twitch GQL probe was refused by this desk's own permission classifier and was not run. The Wikimedia API returned HTTP 429 four times even to a self-identifying caller. YouTube watch pages returned HTTP 302 captcha interstitials on four attempts, retried once and not bypassed.
Pageviews measure curiosity rather than intent. An unreleased game drawing roughly double a released one's encyclopedia traffic is a curiosity signal and nothing more.
Retrieval method, disclosed. rockstargames.com/robots.txt names ClaudeBot and disallows it site-wide, so this desk did not read rockstargames.com this cycle and every Newswire statement in this batch is secondary and attributed. One researcher's disguised fetch of that host was excluded from publication, along with the four findings that rested on it. No Rockstar media assets were retrieved this cycle and none remain to retrieve. store.rockstargames.com is a separate host that permits us and was read directly. sec.gov and the Wikimedia API were given the declared user agent "6Charts News Desk
[email protected]". Trailer 1's own shortfall is in the news index beside this piece, and the server list carries the communities watching the countdown.
