Correction: 20 November Is the GTA 6 Pre-Order Bonus Cutoff
by 6Charts TeamCategory: news8 min read
THIS CORRECTS A LABEL THIS DESK PUBLISHED. THE 20 NOVEMBER DEADLINE IS THE PRE-ORDER BONUS CUTOFF AND NO FIRST-PARTY SURFACE ATTACHES IT TO A GTA+ UPGRADE. Rockstar's own store text, read 2026-10-27T03:12:08Z at HTTP 200, says verbatim: Order before November 20 to get the Vintage Vice City Pack at no additional cost*, and in its FAQ: If you have pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto VI from PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store before November 20, 2026, then you are eligible to redeem this offer. THE SECOND DEADLINE IS FOUR MONTHS LATER AND IS A DIFFERENT THING: PlayStation Store, read 03:11:32Z, says the one month GTA+ subscription may be claimed anytime before March 31, and the offer body enumerates one month of GTA+ plus the Vintage Vice City Pack. THERE IS NO 20 NOVEMBER BOUNDARY ON THE UPGRADE SKU AT ALL: Microsoft's catalogue, read 03:07:18Z, ends the Ultimate Edition Upgrade's purchasable pre-order availability 9QD2DTKJC8WT at 2026-11-19T04:59:59Z, which is launch minus one second. Batch 66 ran gta-6-preload-begins-12-november-no-disc-in-the-box-gta-plus-cutoff-20-november; its preload date and its no-disc finding BOTH HOLD and are reconfirmed here, THE GTA+ UPGRADE LABEL DOES NOT. NO DISC, STATED TWICE IN ROCKSTAR'S OWN WORDS on the same page: Physical versions will only contain a download code inside the box to support pre-load on November 12. A disc will not be included in the box. Both US and Canada physical SKUs are flagged isPhysical true with drm of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and BOTH READ stockAvailable 0 at the same instant, so Rockstar's own store reports no units of the code-in-box edition of its own game 23 DAYS BEFORE LAUNCH. MICROSOFT'S CATALOGUE DID NOT MOVE INSIDE THE WINDOW: free-text search read 2026-10-27T03:06:55Z returned a TotalResultCount of 6, five of them GTA VI, and ALL FIVE CARRY A LastModifiedDate OF 2026-10-23 between 17:26:34Z and 18:59:24Z, a verified non-event with a first-party timestamp on it. The five are 9P3H4968GRSM at $79.99, 9NNZSNHLR63L at $99.99, 9PN4LLBR8RCH at $20.00, 9PLVSSH8849X at $0.00 and 9NL3WWNZLZZN at $0.00, and the three paid products each carry a SKU 0017 flagged IsPreOrder true with a Purchase action running 2026-06-25T04:00:00Z to 2026-11-19T04:59:59Z, so PRE-ORDERS ARE LIVE AND PURCHASABLE. A COUNT DISCREPANCY FLAGGED RATHER THAN RESOLVED: batch 66 published four storefront-visible products under xbox-gta-6-story-and-extra-products-unreported-92-84-minute-five-product-rewrite and this cycle reads FIVE, all of which carry a Browse action, this desk cannot reconstruct which four the earlier cycle counted, and because all five records predate the window NOBODY MAY SAY A NEW PRODUCT APPEARED. LIMITS: NO FILE SIZE IS PUBLISHED AND NONE EXISTS ON ANY FIRST-PARTY SURFACE, with zero fileSize occurrences in the PlayStation payloads, none on Rockstar's page and no package metadata on either purchasable Microsoft edition; the only size anywhere is 344,731,648 BYTES on the zero-price stub 9NL3WWNZLZZN, WHICH IS NOT THE GAME, and GameCryst's 228GB headline is uncorroborated and is named rather than adopted; what happens to the upgrade SKU after 2026-11-19T04:59:59Z was not verified; the Rockstar readings are the US storefront only and the Microsoft detail read is the US market only; both Xbox.com pages returned HTTP 200 but render client-side as an identical shell; the Rockstar Store /api/ routes are disallowed by that host's own robots.txt and were left alone, costing a cross-check of the rendered payload against the live inventory call. RETRIEVAL METHOD: rockstargames.com/robots.txt names ClaudeBot and disallows it site-wide, so this desk did not read that host and every Newswire statement is secondary and attributed, one researcher's disguised fetch of it was excluded along with the four findings resting on it, no Rockstar media assets were retrieved because none remain to retrieve, store.rockstargames.com is a separate permitted host read directly for the verbatim offer and no-disc text, and sec.gov and the Wikimedia API were given the declared user agent 6Charts News Desk [email protected].
This article corrects a label this desk published. The 20 November deadline on Grand Theft Auto VI is the pre-order bonus cutoff, and no first-party surface attaches it to a GTA+ upgrade. Rockstar's own store says, verbatim, "Order before November 20 to get the Vintage Vice City Pack at no additional cost*". The free month of GTA+ that travels with that offer is redeemable until 31 March 2027, which is a different deadline entirely. Both readings come from store pages fetched at 2026-10-27T03:11:32Z and 03:12:08Z, HTTP 200.
Two deadlines that were being conflated

Rockstar's own FAQ text states the eligibility rule in full: "If you have pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto VI from PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store before November 20, 2026, then you are eligible to redeem this offer. To redeem:". The offer body enumerates what the bonus contains, namely one month of GTA+ at no extra cost with the subscription continuing until cancelled, and the Vintage Vice City Pack. The PlayStation Store carries the redemption deadline in its own words: "1-month GTA+ subscription with digital pre-order of full game on PS Store. Claim anytime before March 31. Auto-renews."
Correction: this desk called it a GTA+ upgrade cutoff
Batch 66 ran the storefront story under the slug gta-6-preload-begins-12-november-no-disc-in-the-box-gta-plus-cutoff-20-november. The preload date and the no-disc finding in that piece both hold and are reconfirmed below. The GTA+ upgrade label does not hold.
20 November is a pre-order eligibility date, attached by Rockstar to the Vintage Vice City Pack bonus, not to an upgrade of any kind.
There is no 20 November boundary anywhere on the Ultimate Edition Upgrade SKU. Microsoft's catalogue ends that product's purchasable pre-order availability, 9QD2DTKJC8WT, at 2026-11-19T04:59:59Z, which is launch minus one second and a full day earlier than 20 November.
The GTA+ month has its own deadline and it is four months later. 31 March 2027, on Sony's own page.
No disc in the box, stated twice in Rockstar's own words
The verbatim text appears twice in the same page payload, read at 2026-10-27T03:12:08Z: "Physical versions will only contain a download code inside the box to support pre-load on November 12. A disc will not be included in the box." and "The physical version of GTAVI will only contain a download code inside the box to support pre-load on November 12. A disc will not be included in the box."
Both United States and Canada physical SKUs are flagged isPhysical: true, with drm values of "PlayStation 5" and "Xbox Series X" respectively. Both read stockAvailable: 0 at the same instant, 23 days before launch, which means Rockstar's own store is out of the code-in-box edition of its own game.
Official Rockstar artwork, included to illustrate the piece. It does not itself evidence any of the figures discussed here.
Microsoft's catalogue did not move, and it holds five products rather than four
Microsoft's free-text catalogue search was read at 2026-10-27T03:06:55Z, HTTP 200, returning a TotalResultCount of 6, of which five are Grand Theft Auto VI products and the sixth is Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, The Definitive Edition, a different game. The detail read followed at 03:07:18Z, HTTP 200, 212,948 bytes.

Every one of the five was last modified on 23 October, between 17:26Z and 18:59Z. Nothing in Microsoft's Grand Theft Auto VI catalogue changed inside the research window. That is a verified non-event with a first-party timestamp attached to it. Pre-orders remain live and purchasable: the three paid products each carry a SKU 0017 flagged IsPreOrder: true with a Purchase action and an availability window running 2026-06-25T04:00:00Z to 2026-11-19T04:59:59Z.
A count discrepancy, flagged rather than resolved. Batch 66 published four storefront-visible products under the slug xbox-gta-6-story-and-extra-products-unreported-92-84-minute-five-product-rewrite. Researcher 1 reads five, and all five carry a Browse action on at least one availability, which is the test for storefront visibility. This desk cannot reconstruct which four the earlier cycle counted, the most likely omission is the zero-price entry with a null release date, and because all five records predate the window nobody may say a new product appeared. The discrepancy is printed as a discrepancy.
Limits
No file size is published here and none exists on any first-party surface. The PlayStation Store payloads contain zero occurrences of a fileSize field, checked at 03:10:52Z and 03:11:32Z. Rockstar's store page carries none, checked at 03:12:08Z. The two purchasable Microsoft editions carry no package metadata at all. The only size anywhere is 344,731,648 bytes on the zero-price stub product 9NL3WWNZLZZN, which also reports an install size of 0 and a null-sentinel release date of 9998-12-30, and that is not the game. Secondary outlets carry estimates between 150 GB and 200 GB, and one outlet, GameCryst, headlines "228GB File Size Confirmed" with no first-party corroboration this desk could find. None of those numbers is adopted and the outlet is named so the claim can be attributed rather than inherited.
What happens after the upgrade window was not verified. 2026-11-19T04:59:59Z is the end of a pre-order availability, and a separate post-launch availability almost certainly replaces it. That record was not read.
Scope. The Rockstar Store readings are the United States storefront only. Microsoft's detail records were pulled for the United States market only. The no-disc statement covers Rockstar's own physical SKUs and says nothing about third-party retail editions sold by other retailers, which were not checked. LastModifiedDate is Microsoft's own field, so a change that does not touch it would be invisible here.
What could not be read, with status codes. Both Xbox.com storefront pages returned HTTP 200 but render client-side and served an identical shell titled "Your Privacy Choices Opt-Out Icon" at 03:13:17Z. The Rockstar Store's /api/ routes are disallowed by that host's own robots.txt and were not touched, which cost a cross-check of the server-rendered stock payload against the live inventory call the page itself makes.
Retrieval method, disclosed. rockstargames.com/robots.txt names ClaudeBot and disallows it site-wide, so this desk did not read rockstargames.com this cycle and every Newswire statement in this batch is secondary and attributed. One researcher's disguised fetch of that host was excluded from publication along with the four findings that rested on it, and no Rockstar media assets were retrieved this cycle because none remain to retrieve. store.rockstargames.com is a separate host that permits us and was read directly, which is where the verbatim offer text and the no-disc text above come from. sec.gov and the Wikimedia API were given the declared user agent "6Charts News Desk [email protected]". The unlock timings are covered separately in the news index, and the server list carries the communities preparing for preload day.
