An audit of Rockstar's public Greenhouse job board, retrieved independently by two researchers on July 30, 2026, found 79 open roles resolving to 50 requisition IDs, with one fact stated up front: not one listing mentions Grand Theft Auto VI, GTA VI, GTA 6 or Grand Theft Auto 6. A pattern match across every posting returned zero hits, so every connection drawn between this hiring and GTA 6 is timing and inference.
The game security cluster
The most-discussed listings are two Senior Cheat Software Engineer posts, in Dundee and Edinburgh, sharing one requisition, R_118263. The role is defensive by Rockstar's own description, supporting "the entire cheat lifecycle including discovery, technical breakdown, reproduction, root cause analysis and remediation". A widely headlined line about "analysing Windows kernel internals" is a plus rather than a requirement, and since GTA 6 launches console-only, it most plausibly relates to Rockstar's PC titles. Duplicate location postings share requisition IDs, so listing counts should not be read as headcount.
The Creator Platform cluster
Ten listings across five requisitions sit with the Creator Platform group that owns Cfx.re, FiveM and RedM. The two FiveM engineering listings read as release engineering, covering release planning, deployment and rollback, a capability visibly under load during the FiveM for GTAV Enhanced early access. A creator economy is present in Rockstar's own text: "marketplace" appears 18 times across the ten listings and monetisation 12 times, and the Cfx Marketplace is named directly.
What it signals versus proves
The board shows where Rockstar is investing: anti-cheat capability and the operation of its creator platform. What no listing does is attach any of it to GTA 6, name a console, mention a FiveM successor, or announce a new product.
