Grand Theft Auto VI's commercial world runs on a rule the series has kept since the beginning: everything is fictional. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick put it on the record at the iicon 2026 conference, as reported by NME and gHacks: "It's a fictional world and everything in it is fictional. Sahara, an Amazon-style logistics corporation, shows up via Sahara Arena and branded shipping boxes in official screenshots. V-Rock, the returning Vice City radio station, is teased through Jason's t-shirt, and the Vice City Manatees jersey was fan-spotted on the cover. Community catalogues such as WikiGTAVI also list Fizz and Jesters, which remain community-catalogued rather than Rockstar-confirmed.

The datamined layer

Beyond what is visible, dataminer Tez2 surfaced a batch of parody web domains registered under Take-Two nameservers in May 2025, including what-up.app, rydeme.app and buckme.app. The registrations are WHOIS-verifiable; their purpose is not confirmed.
