Vehicle customization is a confirmed system in Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar's official June 2026 screenshots show dedicated mod shops with customizable interiors, rims and paint, the confirmed evolution of the Los Santos Customs idea from GTA 5, shown directly in official imagery rather than teased.

The two named shops

Rideout Customs is a Vice City shop geared toward "donk" styling with custom rims and interiors; official imagery shows candy-painted lowriders under its spotlights. One-Eyed Willie's sits out in Lake Leonida and is described for "off-road modifications and hand-painted automotive artistry." Between them, Rockstar has placed two distinct customisation cultures, one urban and one rural, in two named parts of the world.

Both shops carry Rockstar's line "Only open for business with the Ultimate Edition", making the two named Vehicle Mod Shops Ultimate-exclusive at launch. Whether Standard Edition players get unnamed alternatives has not been addressed. The Ultimate Edition also bundles the Ganado Retro Build mod kit for Jason's pickup and the Classic Car Collection restoration jobs for the collector Wyman, so a large share of the announced car culture currently sits behind the $99.99 tier.

What is not yet known

Screenshots confirm the venues and the interior, rim and paint categories; they do not show menu depth, catalogue size, pricing or performance tuning. Separately, reporting describes highly detailed stock interiors, functional gauges, touchscreens and modeled door panels, supporting first-person driving.
