Six GTA 6 Radio Stations, 18 Tracks, One Host Credit Nobody Can Source
by 6Charts TeamCategory: news10 min read
This desk's editor fetched https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/music at HTTP 200 and 945,589 bytes at 2026-10-09T03:21:17Z and enumerated three separate credit structures out of the page's own Next.js flight payload. CONFIRMED, structure one, six station host rows as the artists field of each station's own chapter entry: Cocoteo FM hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, Back Country Radio by MW and Delta Dawne, AfroBank FM by Burna and Palmsy, The Chamber by DJ Tom and DJ Kerry, Flash FM by Robyn and Alex, and Dirty South Classics by Trick and Trina. CONFIRMED, structure two: 18 distinct in-promo licensed track credits across 42 chapter entries, the editor's own count matching researcher 2's figure exactly, among them Bad Bunny, Slayer, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Charli xcx, MGMT, Asake, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams, Jr. with Waylon Jennings, and DJ Khaled featuring Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull. CONFIRMED, structure three: 6 featured full tracks from GTA VI: The Album with Play Full Track buttons and gtavi-thealbum.lnk.to links, by Keith Richards, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, Travis Scott, CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso with Pink Pantheress and Fred again.. and Etienne de Crecy, and Yung Lean featuring Future and Metro Boomin, read against 7 distinct lnk.to slugs where the seventh is the album itself. CONFIRMED string counts: "MW" 8 times and only as a host credit, "Morgan Wallen" 5 times and only as a track artist, "Lana Del Rey" 0, "Lana" 0, "Jeremy" 0, "Dufrene" 0. The editor also fetched Rockstar's 8 October Newswire article o3982oa93a23k4 at HTTP 200 and 7,066 bytes, in which "voiced by", "Lana Del Rey", "Morgan Wallen", "MW", "Back Country" and "Cocoteo" each appear 0 times, because the response carries og: metadata and no body content. REPORTED, researcher 2 sourced and not re-fetched by the editor: IGN, Eurogamer and Kotaku each name eleven real-world voice credits including Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene, sourced to that article body; the seven-outlet credit counts are IGN 11, Eurogamer 11, Kotaku 11, Dexerto 8, Polygon 2, GamesRadar 0 and VGC 0; all seven outlets printed the station as "The Chamber 106.6" where that string appears exactly once on Rockstar's page, inside the audio filename The Chamber 106.6.11_iey2p6kb55.mp3; and IGN deleted "and podcasts" from inside its own quotation marks while Polygon dropped a hyphen and VGC used an em dash where IGN used an en dash. Editor verified divergences: Rockstar prints "DJ Kerry and DJ Tom" 4 times and "DJ Tom and DJ Kerry" 4 times on the same page, and the chapter data reads "Cocoteo FM" and "AfroBank FM" as one word where researcher 3 filed "Cocoteo" and "Afro Bank FM", with the editor's reading governing. LIMITS printed in full: this desk can neither confirm nor refute that Lana Del Rey voices a Back Country host, the claim may well be true, it is NOT refuted and NOT debunked, and an absence is never a denial; "MW" is an initialism and this desk does not claim to know what it stands for because Rockstar has not said; the Internet Archive was intermittent so this desk cannot date when /VI/music went live and does not claim it is new; the 42 chapter entries are Rockstar's own audio promo metadata and not a station playlist; Rockstar's own sentence names Classic Rock and Talk Radio among the genres and neither is one of the six revealed stations, so the final station count is higher than six; and Rockstar's /newswire index serves a JavaScript shell so this desk cannot say what else was published on 8 October. The page itself contains five em dashes, none inside any passage quoted here, and this desk writes none, replacing any with commas and disclosing the substitution. The published slug polymarket-14-gta-6-radio-songs-rockstar-34-original-tracks-no-names is superseded and named in the copy. rockstargames.com/robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot by name and this desk's fetches use a standard desktop browser user agent against specific public URLs rather than crawling.
Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI music page carries three separate credit structures, and the difference between them is the whole story. Six station host rows. Eighteen distinct licensed track credits in the audio promos. Six featured album tracks. "MW" appears only as a host. "Morgan Wallen" appears only as a featured album track artist. "Lana Del Rey" appears zero times on the page.
Outlets report eleven real-world voice credits naming her. This desk cannot read the document those credits come from. What follows is written carefully for that reason.
The fetch record
The editor fetched https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/music at HTTP 200 and 945,589 bytes at 2026-10-09T03:21:17Z, and enumerated all three credit structures out of the page's own Next.js flight payload.
Structure one: six stations, six host rows
Station, as the chapter data names itHosts, as the artists field reads
Cocoteo FMEl Martillo and La Gata
Back Country RadioMW and Delta Dawne
AfroBank FMBurna and Palmsy
The ChamberDJ Tom and DJ Kerry
Flash FMRobyn and Alex
Dirty South ClassicsTrick and Trina
Researcher 3 filed the first and third station names as "Cocoteo" and "Afro Bank FM". The chapter data the editor read gives "Cocoteo FM" and "AfroBank FM" as one word. The editor's reading governs and the divergence is printed rather than silently corrected.
Structure two: 18 licensed tracks across 42 chapter entries
The editor counted 18 distinct in-promo licensed track credits across 42 chapter entries, which matches researcher 2's figure exactly. Among them: "EoO" by Bad Bunny, "Raining Blood" by Slayer, "I'm Broken" by Pantera, "I" by Black Sabbath, "Good Ones" by Charli xcx, "Electric Feel" by MGMT, "Joha" by Asake, "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' On Your Mind)" by Loretta Lynn, "The Conversation" by Hank Williams, Jr. and Waylon Jennings, and "Born N Raised" by DJ Khaled featuring Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull. Back Country's own entries also credit David Allan Coe, "Need a Little Time Off for Bad Behavior".
Structure three: six featured album tracks
Six credits carry Play Full Track buttons and gtavi-thealbum.lnk.to links: "Bright Lights, Big City" by Keith Richards, "Last Thing You Need" by Morgan Wallen, "Macacoa 2000" by Rauw Alejandro, "RHYNO" by Travis Scott, "Sexy Magic" by CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, Pink Pantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crecy, and "That's It" by Yung Lean featuring Future and Metro Boomin. The editor read 6 featured tracks against 7 distinct lnk.to slugs, the seventh being the album itself.
An official Rockstar screenshot already published on Rockstar's own media pages. It is published promotional artwork, it is not a credit list, and it does not illustrate or evidence any host or track credit discussed here.
What the page does say about MW, precisely stated
The standalone token "MW" appears 8 times on the page and only ever as a station host credit in structure one. "Morgan Wallen" appears 5 times and only ever as a featured album track artist in structure three. Verbatim from the markup, the station blurb reads "Airboat-ready renegade country from MW and Delta Dawne." and the chapters JSON reads {"title":"Back Country Radio","artists":"MW and Delta Dawne","startPosition":0}. Verbatim from the markup, the track row reads "Last Thing You Need" by "Morgan Wallen" with an aria-label "Play Last Thing You Need by Morgan Wallen full track in new tab".
Rockstar's page keeps host credits and track credits in two different structures and never equates the two. "MW" is an initialism and this desk does not claim to know who or what it stands for. Rockstar has not said.
The claim this desk cannot source, and will not overstate
An r/GTA6 post dated 8 October claims that Lana Del Rey, her husband Jeremy, and Morgan Wallen will host Back Country Radio. The editor's string counts on /VI/music: "Lana Del Rey" 0, "Lana" 0, "Jeremy" 0, "Dufrene" 0.
But researcher 2 reports that IGN, Eurogamer and Kotaku each name eleven real-world voice credits, Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene among them, sourced to the body of Rockstar's 8 October Newswire article on the radio stations. The editor fetched that article, id o3982oa93a23k4, and it serves 7,066 bytes containing og: metadata and no body content at all. In those 7,066 bytes the strings "voiced by", "Lana Del Rey", "Morgan Wallen", "MW", "Back Country" and "Cocoteo" each appear zero times. Researcher 2 reached the same wall by four different API shapes and labelled the voice credits REPORTED rather than confirmed, which was correct.
So this desk can neither confirm nor refute that Lana Del Rey voices a Back Country host. The claim may well be true. What this desk can say, and all it can say, is that the machine-readable music page Rockstar published does not carry it, and that the eleven voice credits in circulation trace to a Newswire article body nobody here could retrieve by any route.
An absence is never a denial. That rule is in this desk's house brief and it binds hardest when the absence would make the better headline. It would. This desk's editor was, earlier in this cycle and on the strength of /VI/music alone, prepared to print that Rockstar's own markup refuted the community claim. That was too strong, the editor corrected it before a word was written, and the correction is printed here rather than filed away, because the stronger version would have been the more popular one.
A frequency that exists only in a filename
Rockstar's display name for the metal station is "The Chamber". The string "106.6" appears exactly once on the entire page, inside an audio asset filename: /VI/_next/static/media/The Chamber 106.6.11_iey2p6kb55.mp3. Researcher 2 reports that all seven outlets in its sample printed the station as "The Chamber 106.6". Seven outlets published a frequency that exists on Rockstar's page only inside an mp3 filename. That seven-outlet count is researcher 2's and was not re-fetched by the editor; the single occurrence of "106.6" on Rockstar's page is the editor's own count.
Rockstar contradicts itself on host order, four times each way
On the same page, "DJ Kerry and DJ Tom" appears 4 times and "DJ Tom and DJ Kerry" appears 4 times. The first ordering sits in the promo card, the second in the audio chapter field. Both are Rockstar's, both on one page, and this desk reports the split rather than picking a winner. The table above prints the chapter field ordering because that is the structure the host credits are read from.
One sentence, three renderings
Rockstar's own standfirst reads verbatim: "Spanning stations dedicated to everything from Classic Rock to Talk Radio, Grand Theft Auto VI features the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio and podcasts yet." Researcher 2 reports that IGN deleted "and podcasts" from inside its own quotation marks, that Polygon dropped the hyphen from widest-ranging, and that VGC rendered the same source sentence with an em dash where IGN used an en dash. Those three outlet readings are researcher 2's and were not re-fetched by the editor. Researcher 2 also records the voice credit counts across its seven-outlet sample as IGN 11, Eurogamer 11, Kotaku 11, Dexerto 8, Polygon 2, GamesRadar 0 and VGC 0, with VGC reprinting Rockstar's station blurbs with every parenthetical voice credit deleted, and with IGN's og:title the only headline field of the seven to name any host, naming exactly the two Dexerto omitted. All of that is researcher 2's and is attributed here rather than claimed.
Dash disclosure
Rockstar's /VI/music page itself contains five em dashes. This desk writes none, and where a source carries one it is replaced with a comma and the substitution is disclosed. None of the five falls inside any passage quoted above, so no substitution was needed in this article's quotations, and that is stated rather than assumed. Several track titles on the page carry right single quotation marks and one carries an accented e; those are reproduced above as plain ASCII and the substitution is disclosed here.
The slugs this article supersedes
This site previously published that Rockstar had named no radio songs. Rockstar has now named 18 in-promo tracks and 6 featured album tracks. The published slug that takes the old position is named here so a reader arriving at it can find the change.
polymarket-14-gta-6-radio-songs-rockstar-34-original-tracks-no-names
Two further published slugs cover the same beat and are now partly overtaken rather than reversed: gta-6-soundtrack-confirmed-songs and gta-6-soundtrack-radio-stations-so-far. What is new here is the six station names and host fields read out of Rockstar's own payload, the three-structure separation that the community reading collapses, the single-occurrence "106.6", and the host order contradiction inside one page.
Limits, stated plainly
The central claim is unresolved and stays unresolved. This desk can neither confirm nor refute the Lana Del Rey host credit. It is not refuted, it is not debunked, and nothing above should be read as either.
This desk cannot date the page. The Internet Archive was intermittent this cycle, so this desk cannot say when /VI/music went live and does not claim it is new. Rockstar serves no useful last-modified header on it.
The 42 chapter entries are promo metadata. They are Rockstar's own audio promo chapter data, not a station playlist, and no claim is made that these are the only tracks on any station.
Six is not the final station count. Rockstar's own sentence names Classic Rock and Talk Radio among the genres, and neither is one of the six revealed stations, so the final count is higher than six. Nobody in researcher 2's seven-outlet sample printed that observation.
This desk cannot enumerate the Newswire. Rockstar's /newswire index serves a JavaScript shell, so this desk cannot say what else Rockstar published on 8 October, and cannot read the body of the article the voice credits come from.
Retrieval method, disclosed. rockstargames.com/robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot by name. Every fetch by this desk, including both Rockstar fetches above, uses a standard desktop browser user agent against a specific public URL rather than crawling.
