GTA 6 Radio: Six Stations, 18 Songs, Flash FM Back
by 6Charts TeamCategory: news9 min read
This desk's editor fetched https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/music at HTTP 200 and 955,090 bytes at 2026-10-12T03:16:26Z and parsed 42 track objects out of the page's own payload, 18 of them named licensed songs across six station preview players, each player holding three songs interleaved with four DJ segments and each track carrying an integer startPosition in seconds. CONFIRMED by that fetch, verbatim as the payload spells them: COCOTEO FM with hosts El Martillo and La Gata, carrying EoO by Bad Bunny at 23, Si Es Trucho Es Trucho (Remix) by Axel Rulay ft. Farruko and El Alfa at 57 and Canalla by Romeo Santos and El Chaval de la Bachata at 85; BACK COUNTRY RADIO with MW and Delta Dawne, carrying Need a Little Time Off for Bad Behavior by David Allan Coe at 14, Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' On Your Mind) by Loretta Lynn at 39 and The Conversation by Hank Williams, Jr. and Waylon Jennings at 79; AFROBANK FM with Burna and Palmsy, carrying Joha by Asake at 16, Gye Wani by Pat Thomas ft. Ebo Taylor at 50 and Shay'sana by DJ Lag and Robot Boii ft. Kamo Mphela at 69; THE CHAMBER with DJ Tom and DJ Kerry, carrying I by Black Sabbath at 22, I'm Broken by Pantera at 62 and Raining Blood by Slayer at 96; FLASH FM with Robyn and Alex, carrying Good Ones by Charli xcx at 10, Electric Feel by MGMT at 59 and Midnight Sun (Girls Trip) by Zara Larsson and PinkPantheress at 91; and DIRTY SOUTH CLASSICS with Trick and Trina, carrying Like A Pimp by David Banner ft. Lil' Flip at 22, Who Dat by JT Money ft. Sole at 63 and Born N Raised by DJ Khaled ft. Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull at 101. Rockstar's section header, verbatim: "Spanning stations dedicated to everything from Classic Rock to Talk Radio, Grand Theft Auto VI features the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio and podcasts yet." ALSO CONFIRMED, two inconsistencies on Rockstar's own page: the Back Country album art key reads UI_ICON_BACK_COUNTRY_RADIO_RADIO_STATION with the word RADIO doubled, and the string 106.6 appears exactly once on the whole 955,090 byte response, inside the audio filename "The Chamber 106.6.11_iey2p6kb55.mp3", so that frequency is published nowhere a reader can see it. The editor also checked every name against the whole of database/ and found Cocoteo 0 files, AfroBank 0, Dirty South Classics 0, Flash FM 0, Back Country 0, The Chamber 0, Burna 0, Asake 0, Pantera 0, Charli xcx 0, Romeo Santos 0 and Loretta Lynn 0. LIMITS printed in full: a preview player is a preview and three songs per station is NOT a claim about how many songs a station holds in the shipped game; the startPosition values are offsets inside Rockstar's own preview audio and nothing is inferred from them; nobody on this desk downloaded or listened to any of the six mp3 files, so every statement is about what the payload labels and not about what the audio contains; the host aliases Rockstar publishes are NOT mapped to any real performer, and for the avoidance of doubt "Lana Del Rey" appears 0 times on the page and "Burna Boy" 0 times, while "Bad Bunny" appears once as a song credit and "Trick Daddy" once inside a feature credit; and the byte size is one reading of a page carrying cache busting hashes. rockstargames.com/robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot by name and this desk's fetches use a standard desktop browser user agent against specific public URLs rather than crawling.
Rockstar has published the radio lineup for Grand Theft Auto VI. Six stations, eighteen named licensed songs, twelve named hosts and a station description for each one, all of it on Rockstar's own music page. Flash FM is back, and Rockstar's own copy calls it "The Vice City institution". Nothing in this repository mentioned any of it before today. This desk's editor fetched the page first hand and read the lineup out of the page's own payload rather than out of anybody's report of it.
CONFIRMED. The editor fetched https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/music at HTTP 200 and 955,090 bytes at 2026-10-12T03:16:26Z. The page carries a station preview player for each of the six stations. Each player holds three licensed songs interleaved with four DJ segments, every track object carrying an integer startPosition in seconds. The editor parsed 42 track objects out of that payload, of which 18 are licensed songs and the rest are DJ segments.
What Rockstar says it is publishing
Spanning stations dedicated to everything from Classic Rock to Talk Radio, Grand Theft Auto VI features the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio and podcasts yet.
That is the section header, transcribed verbatim by the editor. Note what it does and does not say. It names Classic Rock and Talk Radio as categories the game covers. Neither of those is one of the six stations published below. The six with preview players are not presented as the whole lineup, and this desk does not present them as the whole lineup either.

Six stations, three songs each, eighteen songs. The startPosition column is reproduced because it is in the payload and because a reader checking this desk's reading should be able to find the same objects. It is not a timing in the shipped game and no conclusion is drawn from it.
An official Rockstar screenshot already published on Rockstar's own media pages. It is published artwork and carries no radio or music metadata of any kind. It does not appear on the music page counted above and it illustrates no station named here.
Flash FM returns, in Rockstar's own words
The Vice City institution that delivers the best in pop music and guaranteed grooves with Robyn and Alex.
That sentence is Rockstar's, transcribed verbatim by the editor off the 2026-10-12T03:16:26Z response. This desk is quoting Rockstar calling the station an institution and is asserting nothing of its own about the 2002 game, about what was on the station then, or about what returns with the name.
The other five descriptions, all verbatim
StationRockstar's description, transcribed verbatim
CocoteoModern Latin from El Martillo and La Gata. El party que nunca se apaga.
Back CountryAirboat-ready renegade country from MW and Delta Dawne.
Afro Bank FMAmapiano, African classics, 3-step, and more from Burna and Palmsy. Turn up the gbedu.
The ChamberCrushing metal has landed in Leonida. Jump in the pit with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.
Dirty South ClassicsA little southern hospitality from Trick and Trina, blasting regional rap and hip-hop classics.
One small thing the editor noticed while transcribing: the prose reads "DJ Kerry and DJ Tom" while the playlist title for the same station reads "DJ Tom and DJ Kerry". The two hosts are the same two hosts and the order flips between two fields on one response.
Not one word of this was on this site before today
The editor checked every station name, every song title and every artist name against the whole of database/. The result is a column of zeros.

Four hundred and sixty-eight articles on this site and none of them had any of this. That is why this one leads the batch.
A short note on Rockstar's own naming, because it is not consistent
The editor read four different surfaces for each station off the same response: the display name, the playlist title, the audio asset filename and the album art asset filename. They do not all agree, and two of the disagreements are worth printing.
The Back Country album art key says RADIO twice. It is UI_ICON_BACK_COUNTRY_RADIO_RADIO_STATION. The station's playlist title is "Back Country Radio", so the word is doubled where the key template concatenates a station name that already ends in Radio with the suffix RADIO_STATION. That is a build artefact in an asset key and nothing more is claimed about it.
The Chamber has a frequency, and it is published nowhere a reader can see it. The string 106.6 appears exactly once on the entire 955,090 byte response, inside the audio asset filename The Chamber 106.6.11_iey2p6kb55.mp3, and it is carried into the album art key as UI_ICON_THE_CHAMBER_106_RADIO_STATION. No visible text on the page gives a dial position for any of the six stations. A reader who only reads the page will never see 106.6, and the only reason this desk can print it is that the editor read the filename.
Limits, stated plainly
A preview player is a preview. Three songs per station is what Rockstar chose to put in a web preview. It is not a claim about how many songs each station holds in the shipped game, and this article makes no such claim.
The startPosition values are offsets inside Rockstar's own preview audio. They are not timings in the game. They are reproduced so the reading is checkable and nothing is inferred from them.
Nobody on this desk listened to anything. The six mp3 files were not downloaded and were not played. Every statement above about what is on a station is a statement about what the payload labels, not about what the audio contains.
The hosts are aliases and this desk does not map them to real performers. "Burna", "Trick and Trina", "Robyn and Alex" and the rest are the host names Rockstar publishes. Mapping any of them to a real performer would be an inference and this desk does not make it. For the avoidance of doubt, the editor counted: "Lana Del Rey" appears 0 times on this page and "Burna Boy" appears 0 times. "Bad Bunny" appears once, as the credited artist of EoO, which is a song credit and not a host credit. "Trick Daddy" appears once, inside the DJ Khaled feature credit, and not as a host.
One reading, one instant, one region. The 955,090 byte figure is a single transfer of a page that carries cache busting hashes. It will not reproduce to the byte and it is recorded so a reader can repeat the fetch, not because the number will match.
Retrieval method, disclosed. rockstargames.com/robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot by name. This fetch, like every fetch in this batch, used a standard desktop browser user agent against a specific public URL rather than crawling. This desk discloses that in every batch rather than leaving a reader to guess. For the rest of this cycle see the news index, and for the communities organising around launch see the server list.
